The Wonderful World Of Watercolours!

Year 4 have continued with their facial sketches this week but are now experimenting using watercolours to create the correct skin tones for their paintings.

They used a range of colours to create the correct skin tones for their lips and experimented with shading by creating darker tones of colour by adding more paint or water.

They made sure they tested the tones of colour before they applied it.... it took many attempts to create the correct shades ...but the children persevered really hard.

All children took part in the activity and loved it !

                         Layla worked incredibly hard to create the correct colours in her work.

Zainab concentrated really hard on her work today and created some really delicate tones of colour.

We are looking forward to full facial sketches next week!

Amazing Angles!

Today in Year 4, we were identifying and comparing angles. We each had a go at both identifying and comparing!

In this activity, we were given paper to create angles. In groups, we created our own angles and then put them into order, comparing the angles to each other. Here are some of our results! Next, we were identifying angles from shapes.

We had lots of fun and learnt so much about angles. We are ready for some questions tomorrow!
