How clean are your teeth?

As part of our Science work on teeth, Year 4 have been learning about good oral hygiene. After learning about the importance of brushing our teeth and eats healthily, we investigated our own oral health with the help of disclosing tablets!

The disclosing tablets temporarily stained our teeth to show the plaque on them. We used mirrors to reveal hidden truths about our teeth! 👀

Fact - Plaque is an invisible film of bacteria and sugars on the surface of your teeth producing acid which causes tooth decay.

We had some surprising results! 😱 It is clear that some of us should spend more time focusing on certain areas of our mouth when brushing our teeth!

All in all, we had a fantastic time, and learnt lots about our oral hygiene! Would you risk finding out more about your teeth?!
